A system where a user sends an email to one address; it then copies the message and sends it to all of the email addresses on the list.
A unit of computer storage that is equal to 1 million bytes.
A special account set up by a bank that allows an online merchant to accept credit card payments. A merchant must have a merchant account if they are to take online payments. This kind of account requires a contract agreement between the merchant and the bank regarding warranties, rights, and duties.
A special kind of HTML tag that describes the contents of a web page. Search engines use this information to identify keywords, and so they can catagorize the page.
An example of a search engine that searches other search engines' databases. The term metacrawler is often used generically--and incorrectly--to name any search engine that operates in this manner.
A website that is made up of copied data from another site. Website authors may do this if they have too much traffic to manage at the current site. Mirror sites will have similar data under a different domain name.
